• Artisanal Fabric: Jamdani is the softest and the most expensive cotton fabric, which is made on looms. The intricate motifs are woven into the fabric. The roots of this exquisite fabric can be traced back to the Mughal period, starting in the 16th Century, and it continued to enjoy the patronage of the East India Company, and was exported to Europe extensively. The fabric enjoys a UNESCO heritage status. The fabric is produced by our partner master weavers, located in rural villages. This is a non-profit association of women weavers for whom this is their main livelihood.
