On most days when life is chaotic & scheduled and my mind is racing with lists of to do’s. I toss on my “go to” outfit of the day, yes, the yoga pants (no yoga included) and grab that one favorite bag that just makes me feel, you know, pulled together.
As most of my days begin searching for inspiration. Whether it be my morning coffee and Instagram scroll or rushing through errands. I notice every detail. Standing on line at UPS is always a place to spot the fashionable local, sporting her designer bag, returning her online purchases. The Supermarket you say? Yes, you can even be inspired here. Moms are cool. Some even put jeans on and look like they have somewhere to be. We all want to feel the way we did when the hardest decision was, what am I wearing Friday night?
The next moment I just want to give it all up! I can’t stand it, how can I be so materialistic? Why do these things matter? Plans on moving to Hawaii and selling ice cream on the beach flash into my head. Then this quickly passes as I am alerted by my phone, an eBay auction is about to end! I must win this vintage Hermes scarf and make the most luxurious pillows. Instantly my mind is filled with ideas! Scouring the internet becomes my next obsession.
All in all, I think most of us buy bags because it just makes us ridiculously happy. If throwing on your favorite splurge bag gives you an extra skip in your step, then just do it! If other people don’t like it or judge me for it we’ll just keep moving because I feel cool again…
